Instructions

    Prepare the Ribs

  1. 01

Peel the membrane off the back of the baby back ribs.

  2. 02

Slather the ribs with mustard to help the seasoning adhere.

  3. 03

Generously season the ribs with your favorite rub (a cherry cola rub is recommended).

  4. Set your Smoker

  5. 04

Set your smoker to a temperature between 250-275°F using hickory wood for a rich, smoky flavor.

  6. Smoke the Ribs

  7. 05

Place the seasoned ribs on the smoker and let them cook for 2 hours.

  8. 06

Spritz the ribs with Cheerwine soda every hour to keep them moist and infuse more cherry flavor.

  9. Wrap the Ribs

  10. 07

After 2 hours of smoking, remove the ribs and wrap them in aluminum foil.

  11. 08

Before sealing the foil, add brown sugar, butter, and honey on top of the ribs for added sweetness.

  12. 09

Place the wrapped ribs back on the smoker and cook for another 2 hours.

  13. Sauce and Finish

  14. 10

After the second 2-hour smoke, unwrap the ribs and apply a generous layer of Cheerwine BBQ sauce.

  15. 11

Let the ribs cook unwrapped for an additional hour to allow the sauce to set and caramelize.

  16. Remove, Rest & Enjoy

  17. 12

Remove the ribs from the smoker and let them rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve and enjoy!
