This griddle recipe does involve a little bit more prep time since the beef will need to marinade for about an hour, but the results are worth the wait! Embracing recipes that push us out of our comfort zone often leads to the most fun.

    Combine all marinade ingredients in a bowl and mix them.

    Place your beef into a plastic bag and pour the marinade over it. Mix well and place in the refrigerator for an hour.

    After an hour begin preparing the fried rice by setting all burners on the Char-Griller flat iron griddle on 3/4 heat.

    Begin with the onion and garlic on the griddle and mix them until the become fragrant.

    Whip the egg and add it to the griddle.

    When the egg has cooked add the rice, soy sauce, and sesame oil.

    After some of the rice has become crispy add the msg and mix. Turn the left burner off and move the rice to the left side of the griddle.

    Remove the bottom round from the bag and place them flat on the right side of the griddle.

    After roughly a minute flip all the beef over. After a second minute flip it back and ensure that both sides are evenly cooked.
